MAILDAY at BGS: Ben Hogan Autograph Card

Every day is MAILDAY at Beckett Grading Services.

Check out this Ben Hogan auto card that came through Beckett Grading a couple of days ago, numbered 5/5.

What’s with the blue label, you ask? That’s BGS’s “authentication only” service. This card was not graded for condition, but it was appraised as ”authentic” by BGS (that is, it is a certified Upper Deck card that has not been altered). The customer evidently did want Hogan’s signature graded for condition — it got a perfect 10.

The cut autograph looks to be signed on a golf course scorecard. What do you think?

Yes, it’s a full-color Beckett magazine about High School Musical.

Yes, I wrote some stuff in it. Yes, I felt silly doing it. And yes, I’ve seen both movies.

Yes, there are cards from Topps about this movie. Yes, we have a price guide for those cards in this publication.

Yes, the magazine released yesterday and it turned out great. A must read for all hard-core sports card investors (kidding, guys). A fun read for all of their pre-teen daughters (not kidding, guys). Probably, it will sell out.

Yes, it’s available at most Barnes & Noble bookstores, or directly from Beckett.
