I am not a Tiger Woods fan. I like Phil. In fact, there are a hundred other golfers I pull for more than Tiger. However, I just read a comment on this blog that stated he is not an athlete and I had to answer. While it is our choice not to like him or pull for him, saying he is not an athlete is as ludicrous as saying the Buick he drives is not a car. (Does he really drive a Buick?)

Not only is he an athlete, he is one of the most accomplished athletes any of us will ever see. Many of the shots he pulls off are due, in fact, to his keen athletic ability. His workout regimen, while somewhat secretive, is legendary.  Compare photos of Tiger as a rookie to now. He has added probably 25 pounds of muscle

I can’t wear the TW line from Nike because the items are cut small. It is designed for him, not aging hackers like myself. Tiger likes to show off his guns. If you have seen Tiger in person, you know he is built like an NFL safety.

Oh, he is an athlete. A once in a generation spectacular athlete…love him or hate him. 

Now, you can argue golf is not a sport . (and you would be wrong)
