You Think Gas Prices Are High?
Evidently the tickets for the MLB All-Star Game, to be played at Yankee Stadium in July, are being printed on rice paper or, the ink used on the tickets is oil-based. The prices make filling your tank seem like a bargain.
Here is the comparison from 2007 to 2008.
Furures Game tickets rose from $22.50-$125.00 to $50.00-$225.00. The Home Run Derby went from $50.00-$225.00 to $100.00-$650.00. And if you are fortunate enough to attend the game itself, you will pay $150.00-$725.00, up from $75.00-$285.00 in 2007.
Talk about double-digit inflation! How many tickets are you buying? RIDICULOUS.

It’s not ridiculous when you consider how much these tickets will go for on the free market. MLB and the Yanks are just trying to get in on the action.

Ridiculous indeed, but no more ridiculous than some of the stupid cards being put out by Topps and Upper Deck nowadays.

Just another sign that the big-time sporting events (and, really, everyday prime tickets for the big three) just aren’t for us regular people.
Corporate America wins again — cause they’ll be the ones buying many of those tickets.
