The Beckett Blog

Glad to be free from BGS!

I think it is well documented here on Behind the Scenes (and in various police reports) that the Beckett graders are notoriously mean to yours truly.

The problem has only intensified since I switched departments, and left the high-security grading room and those thugs guys behind.  Since I am not in there with them all of the time, they save up their nastiness and unleash it on me all at once when they actually do get to see me, but at least it’s not a slow, eight-hour torture-fest like it used to be.

I usually just try to block the time I spend with them out of my conscious mind, it keeps me from having spontaneous episodes of shaking and crying.  It’s not a perfect defense mechanism, but I have saved hundreds of dollars in psychologist appointments this month alone.

So, I am truly sincere when I say that I am ecstatic to be where I am today, but I have never been happier about it than today!

I was just sent this article, featuring our vintage grading dude expert, Mr. Andy Broome.

“Over the years, his cache has expanded to include the Lookouts Old Mill cigarette cards and…”

Oh boy, here we go…

To say the least, the grading room is going to be a hostile and insufferable place to be next week!

(However, at least they won’t be picking on ME for once!)

Something to think about this weekend…
