First Wave of Pink Memorabilia Hits NFL Auction Block

GaffneyPink

The first wave of game-worn pink pigskin memorabilia from the NFL’s Week 4 games has hit the auction block. Judging by early bidding activity, the NFL, its players and teams are about to raise a lot of money for the American Cancer Society.

As of Tuesday afternoon, a pair of gloves worn by Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams in Denver’s thrilling 17-10 victory over the Dallas Cowboys has already been bid up to $280 (22 bids) in less than 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the gloves and cleats Broncos receiver Jabar Gaffney wore in that game sit at $155 after 19 bids.

Both lots still have more than five days remaining.

It makes you wonder what Breast Cancer Awareness Month items worn by the likes of say, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson and Peyton Manning will deliver when they hit the auction block.
