If you hadn’t heard about Beckett Media‘s promotion with Upper Deck to find The Face of 2010 SPx Baseball, then that’s too bad.

It’s too late for you to enter.

However, here are the five finalists in the contest, one of which will appear in the company’s upcoming advertisement for the baseball set and win free cards.

The winner, The Face of SPx Baseball, will be announced Thursday on Upper Deck’s Facebook page.

Who are the finalists? Read their submissions after the jump.

I am … The Giant Killer

I will bring down the Goliaths in this set.

I will train and ready myself for pack wars.

I bust boxes for the patch auto’s and 1/1’s.

I will overcome the Exquisite Collection.

I will be victorious!

I make collecting history with every pack.

I collect SPx.

— Jeff Bean

I am … The Rookie

I expect the best from the past, the present and beyond.

I may be small, but don’t underestimate me.

I bust boxes for my daddy and my future.

I may be young, but….

I am the future.

I make collecting history with every pack.

I collect SPx.

I am … Phil the Thrill

I expect only the best rookie autographs

I want premium patches and history making signatures

I bust boxes for…the thrill (like you have to ask)

I want the entire shadowbox subset

I bleed Dodger Blue

I make collecting history with every pack.

I collect SPx.

— Phil Mason

I am … The Ripper

I expect exemplary cards, a fun break and great value

I have been collecting for over 23 years and still love the thrill of ripping a box!

I bust boxes for the thrill, the chase, and to see the best the game has to offer.

I want to be part of the next big thing.

I will be part of The Chase for 56.

I collect SPx.

— Matt Torres

I am… Wonderboy

I expect Exquisite inserts to be the prettiest cards I’ve ever seen.

I want baseball’s best rookies, and I know where to find them.

I bust boxes for a chance at patches, autographs and the scintillating Shadow Box cards.

I chase cutting-edge technology that turns the card industry on its head.

I rip for the game’s best players, and nothing else.

I make collecting history with every pack.

I collect SPx.
