Topps’ Million Card Giveaway includes T206s in Series 2 by Chris Olds

With 2010 Topps Series 2 arriving next week, we get the second wave of the overwhelmingly popular Million Card Giveaway, which includes original T206 tobacco cards in this series.

Our Box Busters box has been, well, busted and the video is on the way.

Call it journalistic curiosity — or a MCG addiction — but we really couldn’t wait to see what could be up for grabs with the six MCG cards we got in what has to be the first box of Series 2 that’s been opened.

What did we find? Was it extra special? Were the codes … loaded?

Find out after the jump.

No. 1 — 1986 Topps Andy Van Slyke

No. 2 — 1977 Topps Grant Johnson

No. 3 — 1978 Topps Skip Jutze

No. 4 — 1954 Topps Johnny Schmitz

No. 5 — 1986 Topps Frank Viola

No. 6 — 1976 Topps Ken Henderson

Not quite loaded, but any time you get a Skip Jutze there’s justice in the world.

I have a code that came up with a Message This Card Unavailable 1956 and then at bottom of that page on toppscards.com it shows all 1909 T206 cards that are related to my card. Either topps made a mistake calling my card a 1956 or the 1909 cards shown to be related to my card are false which i doubt.Maybe Topps just has not updated their site to say people have won a T206 card and instead say unavailable 1956 or some other year ?
