New Images Shed Additional Light on 2010 Topps UFC by Tracy Hackler

In April we provided the excited first glimpses of 2010 Topps UFC, the company’s fourth stand-alone UFC trading card product due out later this summer. Back then, we told you that the set would release in late August featuring the industry’s first fight-worn fist tape cards, MMA’s first book cards and dual-signed cards featuring autographs from Dana White and some of the UFC’s all-time greats.

The good news: All of those things remain true about the release now, just weeks from launch.

The better news: Topps officials confirmed today that the product also will include  on-card autographs from the fighters and coaches (Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz) from Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter 11” reality show, won by Court McGee.

In light of Saturday’s heavily anticipated UFC 117 showdown between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and the torrentially trash-talking — and highly entertaining — Chael Sonnen, we figured now was as good a time as any to provide another must-see gallery from a product — and a brand — that seems to improve every time it enters the Octagon.

Oh wow, i LOVE the autograph cards’ design this year. That might be worth putting the whole set together this time.

I agree, Pierre. Probably the best-looking Topps UFC auto design yet.

I wish all the auto cards were on card autographs. What a shame, but they do look good. Just not for me.

This set looks great. I love having an affordable set and a “high-end” product. So, Tracy, it is definately still releasing in August??? I had heard it was pushed back to September 15th. Help us out!!

The last I heard (about two weeks ago), things were still on schedule for an August release. I’ll check in tomorrow to see if that’s still the case.

Okay, cool. I would be super geeked to see some of my pre-order’s show up in the next couple weeks!!

P.s. has a web forum. We would love have updates from Beckett/Tracy Hackler about the lastest and greatest in MMA trading cards. We are RABID fans, and many of us are Beckett subscribers.

P.p.s. How do I get a job working for Beckett?!?!? I’m a decent writer, and you guys NEED an MMA specialist.

HAHAHA. Mostly kidding.
