Card gallery: TRISTAR TNA Icons wrestling cards by Chris Olds

You’ve probably seen the Box Busters episode, but we wanted to make sure you got a closer, sharper, look at some of the cards to be found in the latest Total Nonstop Action wrestling card set from TRISTAR, 2010 TNA Icons.

The design of the autograph cards seems to be stepped up and the photography, as always, is rich with a mix of studio and action images from TNA’s official photographer, Lee South.

A landmark autograph card in TRISTAR’s new TNA’s iMPACT! set? by Chris Olds

TNAdualauto

A dual autograph card in the recently released TRISTAR TNA iMPACT! set is the first of its kind — perhaps a landmark release for both wrestling cards and trading cards as a whole.

It’s not important because of some printing innovation or gimmickry or for being relatively rare.

It indirectly touches on one of pro wrestling’s more subtle charms — something that makes wrestling cards different than all other sports cards combined.

What makes this dual autograph of TNA Knockout Daffney and The Governor, a Sarah Palin lookalike who was part of some TNA broadcasts?

They are the same woman, Shannon Spruill, who has spent most of the last decade wrestling independents after a couple of years in World Championship Wrestling.

And, my friends, it’s the lone dual-signed autograph card penned by the same person … that we know of.

Any chance we can get a Mick Foley/Cactus Jack/Dude Love triple autograph anytime soon?
