Panini lands Kevin Durant autographs for Absolute by Susan Lulgjuraj

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Contributing Editor

It’s been a year since anyone has pulled a Kevin Durant autograph card from a new product.

Fans of the Oklahoma City forward will only have to wait just a bit longer. Durant’s autographed cards will appear in Panini’s high-end 2010-11 Absolute Memorabilia Basketball, which is scheduled to release March 6.

Even though Panini already has five products out for the 2010-11 basketball season, none of them has had a Durant auto.

See highlights from Absolute Memorabilia Basketball after the jump.

Sick for Seattle by ejahnke

The four-decade era of NBA hoops in Seattle came to a terrible end today when the owners of the team reached a deal with the city of Seattle that let them skip out of town to Oklahoma City.

Part of the hijack deal states that the team name and colors stay with Seattle.  Big deal.

All of the Supersonic history: Sikma, the Glove, Gus Williams, Slick Watts, Bill Russell (coaching), Fred Brown, Chambers, Dennis Johnson, Kemp, Bob Blackburn, the X-man, Dale Ellis, Lenny Wilkens, Spencer Haywood, Schrempf, McMillan, the I-5 rivalry with Portland…gone.

Even though Kevin Durant will be much closer to home, personally I find this betrayal disgusting.

“Did we make mistakes? Certainly. Did we do everything we knew how to do? Did we work as hard as we could? … Yes. And I believed from the bottom of my heart we would succeed. And I am personally disappointed that we did not,” lied said Clay Bennett, majority scam artist owner of the team.

I feel for you Seattle, there is nothing worse in the sports world than having some fat cat [multiple expletives deleted] rip your guts out so they can pad their bank account.  I am not just saying that to Seattle fans to be nice.

It happened to me, so I know the pain.  Nearly a quarter century of Colombia blue in my life torn away by a guy with worse hair than Jerry Jones.  I still have nightmares where I finally find Bud Adams in a dark alley…and he’s standing in the middle of a group of policemen and district attorneys.

A 2007 email from Bennett, that was revealed in the some of the court proceedings surrounding the move, shows just how he feels about it.  In that email, he reacts to some Seattle players’ complaining about the possible move to Oklahoma City with, “boo hoo.”

How about just a big, loud, “BOOOOOOOO!” for you, sir?
