I think he paid too much for the card since Strasburg didn’t even throw his first major league pitch. Whether or not he breaks Ryan’s strikeout record or not, or any other record for that matter is a long way off. First, he has to stay healthy. Second he has to continue to dominate batters over a 15 year or longer career. The reason Mantle cards sell and no one says much is that Mantle has obviously proven himself, hence the Hall of Fame. I disagree with all the phone calls and e-mails. So the man spent 16 grand on what is basically cardboard, words and a picture. To each his own. That is what America is about, freedom to buy or sell what you want, for the most part.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, he wasn’t so stupid afterall, he made roughly 5 grand in a month. NICE JOB!!!
